Port Waste Management Plan

Under the requirements of the Merchant Shipping and Fishing Vessels (Port Waste Reception Facilities) Regulations 2003 (As Amended), Associated British Ports is required to produce a Port Waste Management Plan for each of its operations in South Wales. 

Over the last year, we have undertaken a major reassessment of the waste reception facilities required to handle ship-generated waste streams for our ports in South Wales which will see us move from a fixed quayside facility model to a quayside collection service. The final stage of this project is to produce new Port Waste Management Plans, which reflect these new arrangements.
