ABP South Wales
ABP South Wales consists of the Ports of Barry, Cardiff, Newport, Port Talbot, and Swansea. Collectivley these ports handle more than 12 million tonnes of cargo every year and cover an area of 3,400 acres.
The five ports are able to meet the needs of both the local regional economy and the South West and Midlands due to their strong road links. The ports are also able to offer intermodal facilities particularly at Barry Intermidal Terminal where significant volumes of rail freight are generated.
The ports substantial land bank means they are able to accomodate large maritime-related projects such as offshore wind development along with the construction of renewable energy plants.
